When first manufacturing a new design, Montronic’s technical team works to optimise the design from an industrialisation perspective. We revise the points that can provide added value to our clients.
Within this process, we work on points such as:
- Stencil
- Panelling
- Reflow
- Power pads
- Footprint
- THT soldering
Our most specialised technicians, using the most advanced technology, analyse aspects like the impact of rails on the soldering, proper footprint assignation based on encapsulation, or the percentage of voids in the soldering for lighting, and more. In this analytic, XRAY technology is essential. It allows us to verify the aforementioned aspects with full guarantees.
The BOM used by the prototype is also analysed, reporting on improvements that may be of interest to the board designer.
All this information is brought together in the DFM (Design For Manufacturing) report, indicating improvements that can be made to the design and with attached XRAY images to analyse the board in greater detail. We send this report to our clients along with the first delivery of prototypes to guarantee both the quality of the product and the industrialisation process.
